    At the heart of all clown and improvisation lies the art of playfulness and a willingness to be open and spontaneous. In this one day introduction you will explore both art forms in a fun and relaxed space with experienced, supportive teachers.

    Clown

    The clown is somewhere between you and something else.

    You will explore what it is about you that makes the audience laugh, creating hilarious moments from nothing.

    Improv

    Improvised comedy comes from being in the moment, embracing mistakes and making discoveries with your fellow players. You will have the chance to play and to try out the basic building blocks of improvisation.

    Who is it for?

    For people with no or little experience of Clown and Improv and/or for those people who are feeling rusty and would like a refresher.

    Who are we?

    Liz Landon trained in Clown at the world renowned Ecole Philippe Gaulier. She is a professionally trained actress and a highly experienced teacher who excels in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for students to be entertaining and watchable on stage.

    Susan Harrison is part of Showstopper The Improvised Musical: the first improvised show to win an Olivier Award. She teaches for Monkeytoast Improv & was part of the BAFTA nominated tv sketch show DNN.
