- Schedule -
08:45h to 08:55h - Daily Online Registration
09:00h to 10:00h - Morning Meditation, Daily Form, Conditioning and Mobility.
10:00h to 11:30h - Form Deconstruction, Seminar on Daily Principle and Discussion.
Sessions are designed to be engaged with in any reasonable space, whether that is at home or in a studio. You will at minimum need a small space to move around in and a notepad.

- Neuroplastic Principles of the Human Brain
- The Role of Failure in Motor Learning and Skill Acquisition
- Hebbian Theory and Parasitic Neuromotor Activation
- Luria's Kinaesthetic Melody Metaphor
- The Role of Visualisation in Motor Performance
- Chronotype, Circadian Rhythm and the State Scale of the Autonomic Nervous System
- Burch's 4 Stages of Learning
-Conscious Frames of Experience; The TIMES & I Acronym
and anything else we have time for!

Regular - £120 for 7 days
Full Time Students* - £75 for 7 days

All sessions will take place on ZOOM Video Conferencing Platform. Please make sure you have the appropriate set-up to join all sessions in a timely and effective manner. All relevant joining information will be sent out by the end of the week commencing 10th April 2023.
- Refunds -
Refunds will be available if requested before Friday 31st March at 6pm (UTC+1). After this deadline, refund requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the training leader.
Ferus Animi // Terra Nova is a renowned specialist movement collective based in Europe and the UK.
Tom Afiyan-English is a lecturer, performing artist, movement specialist and dance scientist, and the founder of Ferus Animi // Terra Nova. He trained at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (Foundation Degree), London Contemporary Dance School (Bachelor of Arts with Honours), the Oxford School of Drama (Postgraduate Diploma), Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (Master of Science with Outstanding Distinction), and Barca Universitas (Certificate in Neurobiology and Sports Performance/Certificate in Neuroscience and Training). He wrote his Master's Thesis on the relationships between mindfulness-based training and flow states in contemporary performance. His personal practice is informed by ongoing research under the teachings of Grandmaster Tae Yong Lee of Sang Moo, Moshé Feldenkrais, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Kristin Linklater, Wim Hof, Cameron Shayne, Professor Guilherme Arashiro, Mestre Itamar, David Zambrano, Bruno Caverna, Linda Kapetanea & Jozef Frucek, Ido Portal and the writings of Shunryū Suzuki, Yoshi Oïda and 'neuroplastician' Norman Doidge, in addition to ongoing scientific research through the University of Oxford (Department for Continuing Education/Department of Psychiatry/Oxford Mindfulness Centre). He has presented research at institutions including p.a.r.t.s., the UK conservatoires (Rambert/LCDS/NSCD/Laban), the Peridance Capezio Centre New York and the European School of Osteopathy amongst others. He designed and is course leader of the new MA Dance: Performance Programme at LCDS / University of the Arts London, and a member of faculty at the Oxford School of Drama, where he has built a course of curriculum on performance psychology/physiology and movement studies, and has regularly worked as a movement specialist and consultant for warner brothers, working title film, and universal.
