Description
Whether you have an idea that keeps nagging at you, or have already set the foundations of your own business, why not make 2018 the year you take it to the next level? Stop daydreaming about what could be, and take the leap towards creating the job you've always wanted. During this evening panel talk, three fantastic female entrepreneurs, who each founded successful companies, will help you figure out how to ensure your dream stands the test of time.
Join us as we discuss what it takes to start up a company and work as a woman in a male-dominated industry, with three inspirational female founders: Joan Murphy, co-founder of Frame gyms, Martha Swift, co-founder of Primrose Bakery, and Pip Jamieson, founder and CEO of The Dots.
Through their honest, first-hand accounts, you'll discover what your work happiness could look like, and how to find a way to make it happen. You'll also have the chance to ask the experts specific questions, and meet many other like-minded entrepreneurs and creators in the room.
- Complimentary drinks
- Dedicated q&a time
- Ask more specific questions during one-to-one chats at the end of the event
- Network with other likeminded attendees
Joan Murphy is co-founder of health and fitness brand Frame. They run feel-good, energetic and fun-filled classes at their studios across London. Find them on Twitter here.
Martha Swift co-founded Primrose Bakery in 2004, when she and her then business partner realised there was a gap in the market in London for cupcakes and cakes that both looked and tasted amazing. Thirteen years on, there are 3 Primrose Bakery shops in London and 5 cookbooks. From starting with two flavours of cupcake, the bakery now produces over 70 different flavours throughout the year along with a huge range of layer cakes, biscuits, loaves, slices and more, all baked onsite daily in each of the three shops.
Pip Jamieson is the Founder & CEO of The Dots a LinkedIn challenger designed around the networking needs of 'No Collar' workers – including creators, freelancers and millennials. Born out of a genuine passion to make the creative industries more productive, open and diverse, Pip launched the platform in the UK in 2014. An entrepreneur with a distinctive marmite laugh (you either love it or you hate it) Pip is on a mission to connect 1 million creators and freelancers to commercial opportunities by 2018. Pip lives on a houseboat with her husband in Kings Cross, London.
