Written only 6 years apart, Sibelius' Symphony no. 7 and Bridge's Oration offer the expansive sound world of post-war Europe (1924/1930). Both are structurally groundbreaking, and helped to change the direction of symphonic composition. Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite no. 1 is packed with drama and famous tunes, including 'In the Hall of the Mountain King'.
