Description
TV Talent Executive, Head Hunter & Trainer Moray Coulter is doing a talk on ‘Expanding the horizons of your TV career’. He’ll be screening a series of interviews with a number of Industry bigwigs on opportunities that exist outside of the editorial or production management route including Commissioning, Scheduling, Facilities and Sales and Distribution.
This includes video interviews with:
- Duncan Western, Creative Director of Splice
- Claire Anderson, Group Head of Talent at The Mill
- Myles Runham, Head of Digital at the BBC Academy
This is a must for new entrants planning a TV Career who wish to find out about alternative paths to the editorial or production management route. Moray will be discussing how these job roles often offer more sustainability, fulfilment and better pay without demanding an almost fanatical sense of career motivation.
Moray has been described by Richard Cowles, Creative Director for ITV Entertainment as, "The man with the best contacts book in British television".
More Information about Moray:
Moray Coulter has been working in and around the TV production industry since 1987. He's been a researcher, news reporter, Pact policy executive, founded online database Productionbase and had a significant role in co-designing The Talent Manager. He has worked in talent management since 2007, first as Production Talent Executive for ITV Studios, and then as freelance head-hunter and talent ninja for a wide range of production companies and broadcasters. He still works as a TV talent manager now, as well as training BBC staff facing redundancy in professional survival skills, and running a small corporate film and tv production company.
