As London is going 24-hour, what does this shift mean for public art and the cultural life of the city? Can public art become a tool which helps create nocturnal spaces where people feel safe and inspired?
This special talk at Libreria the bookshop created by Second Home will mark the launch of the Art Night 2016 Publication.
A unique collection of essays from acclaimed architects, urbanists and curators documenting London’s first ever night-time contemporary arts festival, inviting you to rediscover the city's secret and unknown spaces.
Speakers:
- Alan Miller, Chairman, The Night Time Industries Association
- Kathy Noble, Art Night 2016 Curator and co-editor
- Rhys Williams, Research Fellow, Glasgow University & guest writer
The panel session will be chaired by book editor Enora Robin, researcher at the City Leadership Lab, University College London.
The talk will start at 7pm followed by drinks and a chance to get a limited copy of the publication, designed by award-winning Studio Frith.
