    Description

This one-day conference is for Church based youth, children's and schools workers, paid and volunteers, from across South Yorkshire. The theme of the conference is 'Together' - Together with God, Together within our own Church and teams, and Together across THE Church. It is being organised in partnership between Pais, Liberty Church, Spa View Community Church, YMCA White Rose, Herringthorpe URC, The Hub Christian Community and The RE Team.

The key note speaker for the day is Pete Baker, National Director of PAIS GB, Young Adults Pastor at Life Church in Burnley, one of the founders of Burnley High School, a Christian Ethos Free School opened in Burnley in September 2014 and an inspirational speaker. Pete will be sharing the vision of SWAP the idea behind EXCHANGE and how it can impact our locality. Pete’s driving force is the desire to see every individual discover their place in God’s great mission to restore and redeem the world.

We have three fantastic speakers lined up for the day:

    Session One: Together with God

Matt Stone is the Minister at Herringthorpe URC, Rotherham. He has been challenging the local church on the need to start and finish with God, of the importance of personal discipleship to help us step out of complacency & comfort zones, and to no longer be split between the world and our faith. Matt will be speaking on the need to work in unity with God instead of our own strength, and how we might develop this in our own relationship.

Session Two: Together as A Church

Misheck Manhana is the Youth & Families Pastor and Worship Director at Living Waters Church, Paignton. He is the pioneer of the Distinct Movement UK & The Furnace UK. He is passionate about nurturing leaders, identifying ministry gifts and appropriately positioning people within church structures. He will be speaking on our need to be a united congregation.

    Session Three: Churches Together

Manny Dexter is the Associate Pastor at Liberty Church, Rotherham. Manny has been instrumental in bringing churches across Rotherham to work together on the Pulse Youth Event. Manny will be speaking about how we can build links as churches from different traditions, and still be effective as a team, by combining our strengths for a common goal.

Each of these sessions will be based on a 20:40 principle, whereby there will be a 20 minute talk by the speakers, with 40 minutes for discussions around tables about what that means for us as individuals, as a team and as a Church.

The day starts at 10am with worship and will finish at 3.30pm. There is lunch provided. Early bird tickets, available until September 11th, are just £8, which will go up to £10 from September 12th.
