OOC Event Specific Info:

This Christmas event is being used as an opportunity for players to look back over what has happened, and also become more aware of what is going on in the world. It will not be a heavy event like the one last year, but more relaxed and a chance for people to catch up.

IC Brief

2020 marks the 5th anniversary of the end of the Aethernaut War. 5 years since a significant shift in the awareness of Humanity regarding their place in the cosmos. Suddenly, Aliens and old Gods were real, and up in the sky. Nations vanished in nuclear fire, and humanity battled for it's existence.

There's still a lot of unknowns in the minds of the common Tau'ri. And uncertainty can breed fear. To help bring together people the British Museum, in association with several other major museums around the world, are planning on putting on a series of displays and exhibits. To show the world what is out there, and put a familiar face on it. Co-incidentally, the SEF Experience is also opening up their new "Corsham Story" exhibit. Command have taken the opportunity to review the exhibits before they go on public display.

This provides a perfect chance to both look back at what has happened over the last 5 years, and the friends we have lost along the way, as well as looking forward to what is going on in the world. Intel reviews, training opportunities, the Regimental Dinner, Officer and Senior NCO selection, the list goes on.
