Ellon Academy Drama Club is delighted to announce that we are presenting the musical “Peter Pan - A Musical Adventure” as our School Show. This is a wonderful show and is suitable for all age groups. It is a real “fun” show – dramatic, magical, thought-ful and spell-binding.

The performances will be on the evenings of Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th, Thursday 13th and Friday 14th June 2019 at 7.30pm in the Theatre, Ellon Academy Community Campus.

There is a lot of hard work involved in preparing this full version of the Show, but we are having a great time. Following on from the success of our previous musicals, “The Sound of Music” (2014) , “Annie” (2015), “The Music Man” (2016), “Annie Get Your Gun” (2017) and “The Railway Children” (2018), we aim to create another outstanding production.

London is strangely mysterious and “there’s something in the air”. Rumours abound and, as the end of the day approaches, workers hurry home after work to their families. Peter Pan and his magical accomplice, Tinker Bell, drop in on Wendy, John and Michael, persuading them to fly back to Never Land. Peter is full of tales of adventure and magic……But Never Land is not quite as blissful as Peter had suggested. What adventures are in store for Peter, Wendy and her brothers? Who are the Lost Boys? Will Peter and Wendy escape the tyrannical Captain Hook’s clutches? What dubious and devious plan does Hook have for Tinker Bell?

Rehearsal have been progressing well and the Cast are getting very excited about presenting this musical. The storyline, based on the story by J.M. Barrie, is a wonderful adventure “beyond the stars” and has a beautiful, haunting musical score which in turn is up-beat, thoughtful and dramatic.
