    Description

Unfortunately, we are currently vulnerable to trolls booking up all the tickets for our rides so that there are no places left for real people. To stop this from happening we need to charge people for attending our rides. This will also allow us to pay for the services we use to regulate rides. There is currently a proposal that we should charge a membership subscription of £10 per year. You can register an interest in being a member here.

On this ride we will be trying out the meeting arrangements for the Christmas Day ride and visiting the Charlie Chaplin workhouse, Van Gogh Walk, the new developments at Nine Elms and the site of the Millbank Prison.

The 14 mile route for this ride can be downloaded from here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37684611

When we read a recent Southwark Healthy Ride report about a completely OTT marketing video for a Sky Pool, we thought it might be an April fools' joke. But when we went to see for ourselves what was going on, we found that the pool actually exists.

So we will be doing a ride to take a look at it. We won't be able to go in it, but we can cycle under it!

We will be using this ride as a dry run for the 2021 Christmas Day Ride. As our rides attract riders not just from Southwark but from as far afield as the M1, will be organising a feeder ride from Wildwood Road, corner with Ingram Avenue (///dome.renew.stack), leaving at 9.00am and reaching Beigel Bake, 159 Brick Lane, London E1 6SB at 10am. Additional riders can join the ride at the Southwark Needle at 10.30am.

As the Northern line extension (NLE) between Kennington and Battersea has now opened to the public, there is a new Battersea Power Station Station that we can take a look at:

We will then continue on through the Battersea Power Station Development to Battersea Park, where we stop at the Pear Tree Cafe for a refreshment break.

We then return along the cycleway on the north bank of the Thames to Blackfriars Station, where the ride finishes.

Ride pictures are posted on our Facebook page.

    FAQ

    • I have not received my ELCC Sky Pool Ride ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your ELCC Sky Pool Ride tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your ELCC Sky Pool Ride tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

    • I wish to cancel my ELCC Sky Pool Ride ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the ELCC Sky Pool Ride event online. For more information on this, read here.
