Where is El Dorado? It’s a question, centuries-old, that many have lost their minds trying to answer. But there are whispers - if you listen close - that a small and secretive community have found it, and walk among us. They talk of seeing a party-army covered head-to-toe in golds, silvers and coppers, adorned in emeralds, feathers and crowns, descending a luscious lime-green valley, sun-drenched and roaring with laughter. And inside a natural arena, where bass thumps and rolls across a glistening lake and deep into the forest, their eyes reflect the light of soaring flames, strobes, and the winking moon above.

But the kingdom, true to its name, eluded all this year, and their memory of this land has become hazy. Did such a place exist? Was it all a dream, were we just feverish explorers, drunk on our pursuit of Heaven, hallucinating on our deep desire for beauty?

We summoned the tarot mystics; their cards have been turned, and they’ve seen gaps appear amongst the cheerless, bleak clouds of 2020. They foresee a land where the words lockdown, furlough and social-distancing are unrecognisable. Where clasped hands run back into the heat of that night, and stretch high to the sky once again.
