Meet 11:45am / Echo Photowalk 12:00pm / Drinks 4:00pm

This Echo Photowalk is FREE to attend.

Meeting point: Mother (Cafe) - Here East, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hackney Wick, E20 3BS

We’re on a mission to help you improve your photography skills, meet your neighbours and celebrate local culture, by bringing together photographers of all abilities to explore everything we love about our patch of east London.

As the wildflowers begin to poke colourfully from the soil, we're celebrating the warmer weather by hosting our next Echo Photowalk along the meandering waterways that lead to the beautiful Hackney Marshes.

Led by local tour guide Simon Cole of Hackney Tours we'll be reliving historic tales of past goings on, many stranger than fiction!

Following the Hackney Cut until it meets the River Lea in the Hackney Marshes, we'll be exploring a different world of nature and boats, as we stroll from Here East in Hackney Wick. There'll be public art, nature reserves, woodlands, wildlife, quaint pubs and much more.

Local photographer Frank Da Silva we'll be sharing an array of photography tips to get you snapping more shots, mastering your cameras and taking stunning photos.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the history of east London, well before the high-rise flats and Olympic stadiums that have transformed the landscape in recent years.

We'll finish at a local pub at 4pm, where we can all grab a drink and there'll be even more chances to get to know everyone, share tips and rest those feet.

This event is free to attend, however, you'll need to join Echo at economyofhours.com in order to confirm your booking. It's free to join and just takes a minute - see below for full details.

What you’ll need:

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
