Meet: 11.00am / Start 11.15am / Finish 4pm

Meeting point: Hackney Wick Train Station, Wallis Road, E9 5LN

July saw the launch of our first Echo Photo Walk in a while. The sun shone as the group explored the architecture and landscape of East Village, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the Olympic Velodrome, guided by Echo member and local resident Frank Da Silva.

Join us again, as we explore the architecture, street art and urban beauty of Hackney Wick & Fish Island through the lens of a camera.

Tour guide Simon Cole, from Hackney Tours will be leading us through the maze of graffiti laden streets, past old industrial factories and shining new developments. The area is fast changing and this is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the history and secrets that you wouldn't discover alone, and makes this area of London like no other.

In line with tradition, we'll also visit a special hidden location, which will only be revealed to ticket holders closer to the time!

If that wasn't enough, we'll have a guest photographer (or three!) along to share their photography tips and tricks.

If you want to improve your photography and learn new techniques this walk is made for you. It's a great chance to absorb the culture of the area and see the spaces around you from a new perspective.

Your photography guide will be Echo member, East Village resident, and photography enthusiast Frank Da Silva.

Meeting point is outside Hackney Wick Overground Station at 11am. The walk will last around 3 hours and we'll finish at a local bar for drinks where they'll be even more chances to swap skills and knowledge.

What you’ll need for the PhotoWalk:

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
