Description

echo present 'Innocence', an exploration of purity and corruption. The concert forms the choir's second performance as a new ensemble, and features a program exploring Biblical ideas of original sin, childhood and the innocence of sleep, through to the inevitability of the end of innocence.

The concert will include music from the 12th century to the present day, featuring Herbert Howells 'Requiem' at its centre, alongside works by Purcell and Skempton, vocal improvisation and traditional folk songs from England and America

Please note the earlier than usual start time of 6.00pm.

echo is a brand new ensemble of 18 young professional singers, exploring the full range of ensemble singing. Music rooted in the Western classical tradition yet inspired by improvisation, folk song and spoken word. The group met while working together through Genesis Sixteen, the prestigious young artists scheme run by The Sixteen.

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
