    Description

This 1 week Gold Duke of Edinburgh Residential Course is for those wanting to complete their award while learning a brilliant life skill.

We are a London based DofE AAP (Approved Activity Provider) offering a fun week with 5 days of cooking and evening activities. What separates us from the rest? We are a family run school with an emphasis of teaching our students about food rather than merely following a recipe. We put the fun back into cooking!

Can’t boil an egg? No problem! Can already cook? Come and break those bad habits and pick up tips and tricks that will make cooking that bit easier and more enjoyable.

We put an emphasis on affordable home cooking and teaching students how to avoid wastage – great tips for young living at uni or moving out of home.

On the Thursday we have a wine tasting, followed by our famous dinner party where students have the option to invite their friends/family to show off their new found skills and to put cooking for numbers into reality.

For accommodation, numbers depending, students will stay at The Avenue family residence just 5 minutes from the school or a family run B&B that The Avenue works closely with. Rooms will be male or female shared rooms or private rooms (numbers depending).

Evening activities will be anything from tennis to bowling or snuggling up with popcorn for a movie night.

By the end of the course you will leave knowing more than you would have thought possible as well as having made friends for life with both students and The Avenue family.

    – Recommended to be followed by the Advanced and Chalet Cookery Course

    – If you are vegetarian, coeliac or have any other allergies, no problem just let us know!

    Monday – Wednesday 9am – 5pm (lunch included)

Thursday 9am – 9pm (lunch and dinner included)

Friday 9am – 4pm (breakfast and lunch included)
