Welcome to the 7th instalment of our Sketchbooks Are Dead drink and draw. The idea of this event is to create an environment/experience for people to connect without any obstacles. It's almost like life drawing but better. Each individual will sit across someone and get the opportunity to draw and build a conversation with them for a limited amount of time. Once the time is up you move on to start a new conversation and drawing. At the end of the night you will leave with a sketchbook full of interesting drawings of yourself and all the people you meet will leave with a drawing created by you in their book.
Provocations is an experimental exercise in portraiture. By applying a series of creative obstructions to participants drawing process', we aim to evoke a number of emotional responses. These responses, or provocations, are intended to produce unique and unexpected outcomes. Provocations aims to evolve the pair-drawing experience.
