    Description

Dr Nina Burrowes will be giving a talk on:

    - The psychology of abusers - why do they do it? Exploring different types of perpetrator behaviour and motivations.

    - Sex, intimacy and fantasy after sexual abuse. Looking at how we support our clients who want to work towards healthy intimate relationships.

This talk will be especially useful for counselors and support workers who are working with survivors of sexual violence.

Dr Nina Burrowes is a psychologist who uses cartoons to help people understand themselves and others. She uses her work to start the conversations we're afraid to have, to tell the stories that don't get told, and to celebrate the brilliant things about us humans that we tend to forget.

She regularly trains the police, CPS, and Rape Crisis Centres and has a successful You Tube series "Sexual abuse: The questions you've never had the chance to ask".

Hosted by Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support www.sarsas.org.uk
