Stand by for an outstanding evening when Doc K’s Blues Band play at St Harmonica’s Blues Club this Friday. If you haven’t seen them before then all you need to know is, quite simply, that they are the finest purveyors of Chicago Blues in the capital. The lineup may have changed over this band’s 50 years, but it remains every bit as good as the original with a ridiculous pedigree. Mad Dog Dave Barnes provides searing vocals and slide guitar while the the rhythm section of Mick Parker, drums and Dave Thomas, bass, keeps it all driving along; but as for the lead guitarist….legend has it that he cannot be killed by conventional weapons, the incomparable Malcolm Hine.
