DiscoverNü Live presents a night of live music by some of the best homegrown talents from the London region. Headlined by singer-songwriter D'vyne Comfort with special guests Kx, Trevor Wilson, L.DN and Kassandra IDI. The show will be hosted by singer-songwriter Alichè.
South London born and raised, singer/ songwriter D'vyne Comfort is a multi-faceted artist whose work breaks the mold of any one genre or style, her RnB Soul sound blends elements of pop, funk, and soul. Music helps her be the best version of herself. With her creative spirit and dedication to craft, D’vyne’s light is set to shine. As a solo act she has performed at the Ministry of Sound and Fairfield halls (London); supporting act for artists such as Donaeo, Chipmunk etc.
Previously a member of original reggae band, Dojo, performing at London Intl. Ska Festival @ Jazz Café (2015), Victorious Festival (2016), Secret Garden Party (2016) Green Man (2016) and the 02, Leeds as a support act for The Wailers (2017) to name a few.
Born and raised in South East London, Kx has worked on several music projects over the past 7 years, which has given her a wider perspective, growth and the tools she needs to prepare for her own solo music, it's also added a level of maturity and honesty to write about. Her sound is R&B/Pop influenced by artists such as Aaliyah, Jhené Aiko and The Weeknd.
Trevor Wilson is a singer-songwriter/producer/performer from the heart of London that aspires to break in to the music industry as an artist. Trevor has his own unique style of music called Sylk, it is an alternative sound to RnB using his signature sounds taking influences from Michael Jackson, Usher, Prince, Pharrell Williams and Teddy Riley. Trevor also produces a range of other genres too such as Hip Hop Soul Grime and Garage. In mid 2017 Trevor formed a band with a bunch of talented musicians called the Sylkadelics (a high energy funk/soul band) which he performs live music. For this event Trevor will be performing as a solo act.
L.D.N is a rapper and songwriter based in North West London, for almost a decade he has been passionately involved in music, performing at some of the biggest and best music events across the UK, from a young age he was aware of his skills and was quick to make use of them in the studio, not only by creating great music but also recording, mixing and mastering his songs. The rapper has some great experience in co-writing and working with other people for an array of different genres and through that has developed his unique style, with a great ability to collaborate with people, whether it’s grime, hip-hop or even acoustic pop.
Kassandra IDI was born in Paris and raised between London and Paris. Growing up in a musical environment, she developed her love for music by performing in English at school and at church from an early age. She studied and graduated in Performing Arts during high school in France. At the age of 18, she returned to London to pursue a musical career where she auditioned and performed for various opportunities before focusing on musical production and writing. She created and directed a musical play for the Official Independence of Congo 2015 celebration in London. Kassandra has a voice which allows her to sing different ranges of emotions through various styles but her genre is R&B. Kassandra mentions Alicia keys and Beyoncé as her main inspirations.
