Description
The disabled creatives programme is an initiative run by Creative Equals, to support disabled creatives into employment, with refresher training and supported in mentorship by change making agency partners.
This is the year we are moving the dial on disability with our first ever disabled creatives initiative!
With just over 14.6 million disabled people in the UK and more than one in five of us will be affected by disability at some point in our lives. Action is needed more than ever, as we know that there is chronic underinvestment in disabled talent, so we will be running our, first to market, Disabled Creatives initiative sets the standard for global talent regeneration.
Our three week programme is FREE to attend and is open to up to 25 disabled and neurodivergent creatives and those who identify as disabled creatives, from across the UK (not just London) who've previously worked or studiedas a creative (creative strategist, art director, copywriter, editor, content creator or designer or very similar role) in the advertising, marketing and design industry, and provides bridges back into employment.
Our programme will arm you with the tools, knowledge and confidence to help you gain a bridge into employment.
In partnership with Diageo and D&AD.
The programme
The programme will run virtually over a 3 week period with the final day being held face to face in a central London location (depending on your circumstances, allowances will be made for a virtual connection).
In week 1, you will get to meet your fellow attendees and your creative mentor from one of our partner agencies, and receive a creative advertising brief from Diageo. D&AD will run sessions to help you flex your creative thinking and get up to speed with creative industry trends.
In week 2, the cohort work either individually or as part of a team with support from our Creative Agency Partner Mentors on the Diageo brief.
Additional support and assistance will be on offer to the returners throughout week 2.
In week 3, the cohort will continue to work either individually or as part of a team with support from our Creative Agency Partner Mentors on the Diageo brief.
On the final day we will have a presentation pitch, where you will get the opportunity to present your campaign ideas and / or designs back to Diageo and a winning presentation will be chosen!
