This study day is designed for Speech and Language Therapists and professionals working with Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia.
Speech and Language Therapist, Kay Giesecke, will be presenting on Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia also referred to as Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Kay Giesecke is based in Texas, USA and is a Consultant Speech & Language Therapist in the field of CAS.
The day will be covering:
- Differential Diagnosis of CAS Versus a Severe Articulation/Phonology Disorder
- The Characteristics of the Various Stages of CAS (using a CAS checklist)
- Treatment and management of CAS
- Effects of CAS on language
Kay has 36 years experience as a speech-language pathologist and was the founder of Apraxia Dallas. She holds a license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Texas and the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. Kay is a specialist in CAS.
