Stars of BBC Radio 4 and Edinburgh Fringe Favourites, award winning sketch comedians Croft & Pearce will be on tour in 2016. Croft & Pearce are the breakthrough stars of the last series of BBC Radio 4’s ‘Sketchorama’ (Series 3, 2014). Their episode was so sparkling that it resulted in a nomination for Best Scripted Comedy at the BBC Audio Drama Awards 2015 and this led to the commission for their first solo sketch show ‘The Croft & Pearce Show’ which will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Wednesdays 9th 16th 23rd and 30th of March 2016 at 11pm. The series is produced by CPL Productions and includes many of the characters Croft & Pearce have created for their acclaimed live shows.

Their 2015 and 2014 Edinburgh shows ‘There’s Always Something’ and ‘Give and Take’ received 4 and 5 star reviews and during the 2015 Edinburgh Festival Croft & Pearce were invited to perform in front of 3000 people at the prestigious Radio Forth Gala at the Edinburgh Playhouse. They also performed at the BBC’s Next Big Thing show and at the Pick of the Fringe Corporate Showcase.

In 2014 they won the Mervyn Stutter ‘Spirit of the Fringe’ Award and in 2013 they won the Three Weeks ‘Best Podcast of the Fringe’. Described by Alistair McGowan as 'brilliant sketch comedians' they are incredibly slick performers with sharply funny characters. In Edinburgh 2012 they were amongst The List's ‘Top Five Double Acts’. Croft & Pearce have also written episodes for the comedy animation ‘Numtums’ for CBeebies (BBC) and are fast gaining recognition for their unique brand of comedy. In the last 12 months Croft & Pearce have performed at the Edinburgh, Leicester, Brighton, Larmer Tree and Tringe Festivals and had sell out solo runs at the Leicester Square Theatre in London and at the Magnet Theatre in New York.

Hannah Croft and Fiona Pearce have been writing and performing sketches together for the past 5 years, having first met at school. They remained friends through Oxford University, where Hannah studied French & Italian and Fiona studied English, and throughout their time at drama school (Hannah trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and Fiona at the Central School of Speech & Drama).

When not writing and performing comedy, Fiona writes taglines for Hollywood movie posters and trailers, and articles for the fake women’s magazine website Reductress. Hannah works as a translator, actress (recently in the Italian indie movie hit The Repairman http://www.therepairman.it/) and improviser (with Monkey Toast, London).

Fiona is 80% vegan. Hannah is 95% chocolate.
