Description
This is a long-walk starting from the remote Corrour Station, made famous in the film Trainspotting, which will take us through some of the Highlands most stunning wild land. Many workers perished on Rannoch Moor making their way from the station to the construction site at the Blackwater Dam. However, we will take much clearer paths, as the route takes us from the station to Loch Treig, following the path there behind Leum Uilleim, to the bothy at Loch Chirain and onwards to Blackwater Reservoir, before following the River Leven back to the village. Keep an eye out for the remote memorial erected in the 1800s in memory of a St Albans clergyman!
This walk is kindly led by Rich Mountain Experiences.
