Constellations

The Old Sorting Office Art Centre, 49 Station Rd, SW13 0LF London

“Let’s go for a drink. I don’t know what I’m doing here. One drink. And if you never want to see me again you never have to see me again.”

Premiering at the Royal Court in 2012, Nick Payne’s Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it’s about quantum multiverse theory, love and bee keeping. Constellations packs more into 75 minutes than most plays do in 3 hours.

“An astonishingly fine play…As a critic, one would be hard put to begin to do justice to the dazzling way it creates its own rules, while at the same time being wise enough not to jettison the old rule book either” - Independent
