Sam Russell - born in a domestic bathroom, 1989. At 5 he once did stand-up at a family friend's birthday and got shouted at for being too mean to the guests. Traumatised, he took an 18-year gap from comedy. In 2011, Sam co-founded the improv group SHOOT FROM THE HIP!, which has performed weekly residencies at The Top Secret Comedy Club, Angel Comedy, Up The Creek and The Bill Murray. In 2014, a comedian at Top Secret saw Sam do the opening 10 minutes of crowd work and warm up for the improv show, asking him if he would like to try some stand up at his night in London Bridge. Nervously saying yes… it turned out to the start of a career in stand up comedy.
Becoming a regular of the London Comedy Circuit, Sam now performs around the country and internationally.
