Description

Mark Nelson, Gareth Richards, Sarah Keyworth, MC Justin Moorhouse

Doors 7.45pm Show 8.30pm £12 on the door (if tickets left) or £10 advance. Strong language and adult themes. Fully seated. Acts subject to change. Any questions? Ring Rob on 07874 152 338

Superb one-liners, cutting observations and a penchant for the darker side of humour would be admirable weapons in any comedians armoury but when teamed up with Mark Nelson's relaxed, affable,

almost 'neighbour over the fence' approach to stand up you can see why he's a natural. So much so Mark was named Scottish Comedian Of The Year less than a year after telling his first gag on stage. It would appear funny runs in the family too as Mark is proud father to Isla, aged 4, who has become something of an internet sensation with her take on current affairs

"Blistering material" Sunday Times

In October 2004 Gareth Richards did his first ever gig aboard the Wibbly Wobbly boat, a notorious venue compered by alternative comedy veteran Malcolm Hardy. After his set Malcolm shook his hand and said, “Was that really your first gig?”

“Yes,” said Gareth.

Malcolm said, “Yeah, I thought it was.”

Since then Gareth’s hilarious stand-up, silly jokes and gorgeously low-key comedy songs have s appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at the Electric (BBC3) and even live live on Radio 1. Gareth

co-hosted Frank Skinner’s Sony award-winning Absolute Radio show for two years and has supported Frank on tour.

“Clever craftsman with a big future” Evening Standard “An effortlessly assured act… exceptionally inspired and truly memorable.” Chortle

Nottingham's Sarah Keyworth has recently supported Stewart Francis and Kerry Godliman on tour. Her material is a mix of honest anecdotal storytelling about her Midlands upbringing, made surreal with the occasional addition of a silly observation. She delivers sharp lines with a cheeky smile and moments of sudden deadpan that leave the audience wanting more.

"The funniest of bones" Shappi Khorsandi "A joy" Stewart Francis

Justin Moorhouse's razor sharp wit makes him a natural choice for compering and he is much in demand for corporate work. A natural affability endears Justin to any audience and an arsenal of tightly written material firmly hedges the bet. TV appearances include Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and even Celebrity Mastermind, which he won by answering questions on fellow Mancunian Les Dawson. He makes regular appearances on 7 Day Sunday and Fighting Talk. His DVD ‘Live In Salford’ is available from Amazon.
