A unique night of some Liverpool finest new bands on the block; featuring a genre fluid lineup of COLOUR, Skinner's Lane, Cloud Factories and Brick House.
COLOUR "A profoundly independent pop explosion" - Clash Championed by BBC Introducing, Clash and Shortlist amongst others, 2017 was quite the year for COLOUR. In November, they released ‘Minus’ (as featured on Record of The Day). The track was mastered at London’s famous Abbey Road studios by Christian Wright (Coldplay, Radiohead) and was co-produced by the band and Dan Swift (Kasabian, Snow Patrol) and was recorded at their own studio on the northwest coast of England. Says Dan of the band: “Average bands sound like their heroes, good bands sound like other good bands and great bands sound like themselves. COLOUR are a great band”. 2018 will see the band releasing a string of new singles and gigging prolifically which is sure to add to their break-neck momentum. Skinner's Lane Skinner’s Lane is a three piece indie garage rock group based in Liverpool. Originally hailing from the likes of California, Dorset and Cheshire, all three met whilst studying in university. Despite such a short time together, they have already supported the likes of Chase City, Fiona Grey and The Wild Things After the recent launch of their debut single 'Dear Brighton,' the band is currently the band is recording their next single as they continue their steady rise in not just the Liverpool scene, but Northwest music scene with their energetic, wild and driving performances. "The opening rumble of guitar and drums is reminiscent of indie gods Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand, whilst vocalist Zak’s singing gives a nod to classic punk pop tracks of the late ‘90s and early ‘00s." - Liverpool Noise.
Cloud Factories Cloud Factories are a multicultural Psych/Soul quartet based in Liverpool. Their music is a marriage of genres, mashing together their favourite sounds from Soul, Funk, and Psychedelic music After writing music together for months in 2015 , Hjalmar and Kristjan decided to take their scribbles out of their cave and into the big world. While horse-riding on Kristrun’s farm in the countryside of Iceland, the inspiring view of geothermal plants lead to the birth of the name. Cloud Factories came to fruition. Drummer, Gard Rodset joined in September 2017. “The music is at once weightless and captivating, seeming to exist in a slightly less tangible place but still having more than enough substance to beguile and intoxicate the listener.
