    Description

Encouraging college students and staff to connect with and take action for nature can help support recovery, contribute to college sustainability and climate commitments and bring a range of benefits for individuals – from health and wellbeing to skills development. The John Muir Award is a national environmental award from the John Muir Trust that encourages people to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places, offering valuable recognition of achievements. It’s delivered as part of a wide range of college courses across the country.

    This 1 hour webinar will:

    • Introduce the John Muir Award and what’s involved
    • Share examples of how it’s being used in various college settings and courses
    • Signpost ideas and resources to help get started

This webinar is offered for free thanks to funders of the John Muir Award in Scotland. We will be focusing on examples of the Award in action from Scottish colleges, but these will be relevant to college settings across the UK.

The event will be taking place over Microsoft Teams, so please ensure you have a functioning microphone and a strong enough internet connection in order to ensure you get the most out of the session. You can find guidance about Microsoft Teams meetings online here.
