    Description

In the run up to the exhibition this year we’re hosting a series of sleeve making Sunday workshops at Sonos Studio.

These workshops will focus on a particular discipline and how that can be used to create a record sleeve. They are there for you to learn new skills and use them to interpret our tracks onto a blank 7”. At the end of the day you’ll have the option to submit what you've made on the day and be in with a chance of it featuring in the exhibition come April.

The third workshop is with the Collage College collective.

Collage College is a multi-disciplined group of friends who regularly meet to cut and paste in one another's company.

The brainchild of illustrator Nanna Koekoek and designer & art director Louise Mason (aka Sawn Off). Collage College begun when art director & printmaker Nick Scott (aka Narcsville) offered his studio as a place to meet. Illustrator Lisa Harker and director Ewan Jones Morris (one half of Casey & Ewan) round off the group.

As individuals their work has been seen on sleeves and in videos for bands such as The Cribs, Wild Beasts, Stealing Sheep and Sweet Baboo, as well as in editorial for DIY and Vice among others.

In the morning Nick will talk about the ideas and techniques that have made this process so vital in music. Plus he'll be discussing with Louise, Nanna, Lisa and Ewan about how collage has informed their work for music and beyond.

Then the chance to make your own work with all five on hand to offer guidance and input. Any sleeves you produce on the day can be submitted for consideration for this year’s show.

In exchange for a ticket we ask you give generously in the form of a donation to our 2016 cause, Amnesty International UK - suggested minimum donation £20. Space is limited so don’t delay in booking yourself in.
