    Description

    Hello Beautiful Londoners

Our Coffee, Cake and Content Marketing writing session is aimed at new start-ups and existing businesses.

This workshop is for you if you run a business but do so with a scatter gun approach. Perhaps you have read countless articles online regarding the importance of finding your niche, developing a customer profile, plotting where they will hang out, or figuring out what magazines they will read. You know what you should do but think it’s too much work to actually put together a marketing plan or perhaps you do bits here and there and wonder why your business isn’t taking off? Do you find yourself procrastinating when it comes to doing your content marketing? Most people want a quick win without putting the hard graft in to do the work. I am one of those people who know what I need to do but don’t have the discipline to do it. I resisted setting up a blog for a long time because I thought it was too time consuming, I knew that content was king but I thought maybe I could get away with minimal content and no formal strategy. Let me tell you something blindingly obvious, all the advice on the internet is right and you are wrong. If you think you can build a business by doing bits of marketing here and there you will not succeed.

I am setting up a series of 4 writing sessions priced at £15 each session which includes a coffee and a piece of cake. This is a content marketing writing group and each individual will be responsible for developing their own their own content marketing plan. This is an investment of £15 per 2 hours session. I won’t be standing at the front of the room talking at you but will be sitting down with you to do my own content marketing plan. We can brainstorm ideas if you like but you are responsible for your destiny. The session is a 2 hour session where you will write and put together your own content marketing plan. By the end of the 4 sessions you will have a plan, ready to use and it will be the best investment that you will make. By committing to the sessions you are investing in yourself, and will have a bespoke plan on how to take your business forward. This is not a consulting session but handouts will be provided to help you structure your plan. In those 2 hours we will sit together and write, the intention is to let you dedicate time to write your content marketing plan and arm you with enough rocket fuel to take a serious look at how you intend to market your business.

    What is Content Marketing?

Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience- and ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.

Content marketing’s purpose is to attract and retain customer by consistently creating and curating relevant and valuable content with the intention of changing or enhancing consumer behaviour.

    Session 1 (23rd August 2015)

In the first session you will dedicate time to work on identifying your story, figure out what the valuable service is that you provide for customers, review the sustainability, define what success looks like and figure out how you will build value. (Handouts will be provided to help you formulate your answer)

    Session 2 (30 August 2015)

In the second session you will figure out who your content is supposed to reach, how you will provide value to them and how your will use content to support the client through their buyers journey (Handouts will be provided to help you formulate your answer)

    Session 3 (6 September 2015)

In the third session you will find the story that you should tell through your content. We will want to ensure that we have focused the content on meeting your audience’s needs as well as your own. I need you to translate your story into enough content to support your business development. (Handouts will be provided to help you formulate your answer)

    Session 4 (13 September 2015)

In session 4 we will close the loop and revisit your original brainstorm of calendar of activities and content generation options to refine your strategy. You should be clear about who you are creating the content for and consistently address the needs of your target audience. You will decide on the frequency of your communications and figure out how to stand out from the crowd.
