We're bringing the old fashioned tradition of harvest preserving parties back to life. The Mindful Kitchen combines mindfulness and cookery to reveal the amazing stories behind every day food. At our Cocktails & Candy Apples Preserving Party, you'll explore the history and the future of 'the forbidden fruit' - and what it means to you - before you roll your sleeves up and get preserving.
What To Expect:
Storytelling: How do you like them apples: the past, present and future of apple-dom
Apple Tasting: Develop your palate for apples as you taste a range of apple varieties and homemade preserves
Apple Preserve Making: You'll be making zero waste apple powder and apple brandy. You'll head home with preserves for your pantry and recipes to recreate the magic.
Candy Apple Making: It's Bonfire Night! We'll use some of our preserves and locally sourced apples to create a seasonal treat that pleases every child at heart.
Cocktail Sipping: We'll toast a job well done with some apple-y adult beverages created by Hoi Polloi using heritage preserve recipes.
