Clown Life Intensive:
October 1st- 11am-6pm- (Full day) & October 2nd- 2:30pm- 6pm (Half day)
Welcome to The Clown Life intensive. This particular workshop will consist of a day and a half (10 hours- over 2 days). Introducing the core aspects of Clown through play- focusing on; Presence, Connection, Self-expression, Optimism, Honesty, Risk taking/Stepping out of the comfort zone, Vulnerability, Failing well and how all of these are great tools for performance and personal development in life.
We will be playing hard and laughing loads...You do NOT have to be a performer or have had clown/theatre experience to take part... This workshop is for everyone, whether you are called to a more playful means of self development and inner child/play work or whether you're a performer/ public speaker who wants to improve your skills and connect with your audience on a deeper level with more presence and humanity- there is something for everyone!
* "Zuma is welcoming, warm and charismatic, her expertise and enthusiasm for her art is infectious and you always feel in safe hands."- Participant April 2016
What to expect:
We will be looking at how the practice of Clown can help us to live whole heartedly, present, connected, curious, optimistic and playful. We will be meeting glimpses of our inner idiots- exploring a level of child's play, amplifying who we are, how we are seen in the world, accepting all of ourselves and sharing it without shame. The first step to living more 'whole heartedly' as written by famous researcher- Brene Brown is 'daring more greatly'- Clown Life is another opportunity to dive into the unknown, take risks and explore a deeper level of yourself with the added bonus of games, play and lots of laughter.
The nature of the workshop is held in a supportive & encouraging way as its main objective is to focus on the tools, techniques and positive discoveries.
