Austin-based physicist Mike Dingus was born and raised in the mountains of Bristol, Tennessee – the birthplace of Country music. By 2010 he wanted his socially awkward teenage son to witness the strength of street knowledge. 15 years earlier, Mike had named his baby boy after Eric “Eazy E” Wright, who had died the day before. It was finally time for Eric Dingus to learn why N.W.A.’s “Straight Outta Compton” was so important.
