Description
Poole Grammar School Music Department presents a traditional Festival Service of Lessons and Carols in St Mark’s Church, Talbot Village, Bournemouth, followed by a Reception with Music in St Mark’s Church Hall.
The Festival Service will feature the combined PGS Voices with PSA (Parent Staff Association) Voices along with our Brass players and Percussionists, leading the music for the service. Readings will be given by staff and students of the school and all are invited to join in well-known Christmas Carols.
All are welcome to join us for the Festival Service - please come along with family and friends.
After the Festival Service, all are invited to join us for coffee and light refreshments in St Mark’s Church Hall, provided by the PSA. Musical entertainment will be provided by PGS Big Band, Jazz Band and soloists.
However, space in the Hall is limited to a total of 250, so anyone wishing to attend this part of the evening will need to book a (free) ticket. All are welcome to attend the Festival Service.
We look forward to welcoming many members of the Poole Grammar School community to join in this event; a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas in a fabulous setting, which mixes the original, historic church, built along with the Talbot Village by the eponymous sisters in the mid 1800’s, with the church’s inspiring, modern extension built around thirty years ago.
We’re very grateful to the Vicar and Churchwardens of St Mark’s Church, for allowing us to use their beautiful church and Hall.
