    Description

Gits and Shiggles ("Top notch" Time Out) launch a new night of sketch and character comedy. Resident performers Simon Lukacs and Lola Maxwell will be joined each month by some of the best talent in London.

    This months line-up:

    CARIAD LLOYD

One of the UK's best character comics, Cariad Lloyd was nominated in 2011 for Best Newcomer at the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her debut solo show, Lady Cariad's Characters. She then performed her second solo show, The Freewheelin' Cariad Lloyd to critical acclaim at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival, despite featuring a character based on a moomin. In 2014 she won Three Weeks Editors award for Fringe excellence.

She made her own pilot for BBC 3, The Cariad Show & can be seen in Comedy Central's new sitcom Give Out Girls and in 2015, BBC3's Crims. She has also appeared in award winning E4 sketch showCardinal Burns, CBBC's Bafta-nominated DNN, as well as Siblings, Badults, Crackanory & Toast of London.

For Radio 4, she has featured in The Now Show, The Cariad Radio Show, Newsjack, The Guns of Adam Riches, and Sony award-winning Here Be Dragons.

She performs on the comedy circuit with her silly characters and is also a member of Austentatious: The Improvised Jane Austen Novel, who have had three sell-out Edinburgh Festivals, won best sketch/improv act at the Chortle awards and are currently touring the UK. She also performs in two-prov show Cariad&Paul: A two player improvised adventure.

"A truly brilliant performer" ★★★★ – Broadway Baby

    DANIELLE WARD

Danielle Ward started performing stand-up in 2004. In 2006 she won the Time Out Best Newcomer award and was given the prestigious BBC Radio Writers Bursary – one of only five women to hold it in its 30 year history. Danielle took a break from stand up to concentrate on writing, though she did go on tour with Robin Ince's Book Club where she pretended to be Andy McNab, Adam Ant, David Bowie or Heather Mills.

2014 saw Danielle start performing as alter-ego Dani Frankenstein, described as a white, female, East Midlands Kanye West (by her). After a ridiculously successful short run at the Free Fringe in Edinburgh she started performing as D-Frank on the live circuit.
