It is with great pleasure that we invite you to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Captain James Cook’s first voyages.
This immersive soiree has been produced for our patrons by professional young musicians Jonathan Darbourne and Betty Makharinsky. It will feature poetry readings by the distinguished actor Richard Durden-Smith, as well as nautically-themed music, a bespoke menu of food and drinks, a Captain Cook quiz and more.
We are holding this event on Saturday 27th April at The Vache in Buckinghamshire, a historical manor in which Captain Cook visited his close friend and protégé Admiral Sir Hugh Palliser, and on the grounds of which a Memorial was erected in Cook’s memory.
We hope that you’ll be able to join us to celebrate a distinguished man and to enjoy this evening of unusual entertainment.
