These beautiful vintage wine-making bottles make the most eye-catching terrariums. We will show you all the techniques and give you the tools to create these from scratch.
We will explain the history of Terrariums, how to care for them and the ideal plants to fill them with. You will be provided with everything you need to create your own ecosystem, we will have a range of plants for you to choose from including Fittonia, Calathea and Moss as well as a large sealable glass jar. We will guide you through creating your own terrarium which will be all yours to take home at the end of the session.
The workshop will be held in the lovely, private and covered heated terrace at Unwined in Waterloo. The space is cute and planty and your ticket will include a glass of wine, beer or soft drink as well as a selection of snacks and nibbles.
You will leave with a care guide for your terrarium, as well as all the information you need to know to make more terrariums as we know they can be quite addictive!
How big are these and how do I get them home?
These are about H34cm by W17cm. They are built to be easily transported by using the finger holes at the top of the jar, we will also provide a free Jar and Fern tote bag for you to carry your terrarium home!
What are my transport options getting to the event?
Unwined in Watrerloo is situated on Lower Marsh - just a 5 min walk from the main entrance of Waterloo station, or a 2 min walk from Lambeth North underground station. There is paid parking nearby on Frazier Street, which becomes free after 1pm on Saturdays.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
