Join us to learn how to build your own Demijohn Terrarium at Thrive Battersea.
Learn the history of Terrariums, how to care for them and the ideal plants to fill them with. You will be provided with everything you need to create your own little ecosystem, we will have a range of plants for you to choose from including Fittonia and Moss as well as a large sealable glass jar. We will guide you through creating your own terrarium which will be all yours to take home at the end of the session. This is a great individual or group experience for anyone who wants to learn some new indoor gardening skills.
You will leave with a care guide for your terrarium and a tote bag to carry it home in, as well as all you need to know about how to make more terrariums as we know they can be quite addictive!
We will be hosting this event indoors in the beautiful Battersea Park at Thrive Battersea. Thrive offer gardening programmes to more than 200 Londoners in four fantastic gardens in Battersea Park, as well as various outreach projects in the wider community.
The Main Garden on East Carriage Drive is where the workshop will be taking place. Thrive also sell an amazing range of very reasonably priced houseplants so it's worth coming along a bit earlier and checking out the gardens as well as perusing the plants (you'll probably want to bring an extra bag!)
Dimensions - These are about H34cm by W17cm.
Light - These enjoy a spot with indirect sunlight e.g. a North-facing window
Watering - Very infrequently/never, more information provided in care guide

Hi! We are passionate about terrariums and have been making and working with them for 5+ years now. We love meeting the lovely people that come to our workshops and seeing the joy that comes from making a beautiful ecosystem from scratch.
