Description
There have been many rides exploring the parks of London, but, on this occasion, we will be visiting two parks in our neighbouring county Buckinghamshire. They are Langley Park and Black Park.
The 24 mile route for the ride can be downloaded from here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes...
To join this ride you can take a train from Paddington, Platform 14, which leaves at 9.57am and arrives at West Drayton (Zone 6) at 10.15am.
We start the ride at West Drayton and first make our way to a section of the Grand Union Canal towpath. This takes us to Little Britain Lake. We then go through Iver to a section of National Cycle Route 61, which takes us to Langley Park. Once in the park, we can walk around Temple gardens to view the rhododendrons and azaleas. We will then cross over the Uxbridge Road to visit Black Park. After a loop ride around the lake we will stop off at the cafe for a refreshment break.
We will then cycle to Windsor and return via Datchet to West Drayton Station, where there is a regular train service back to Paddington.
Please note much of this ride takes place in territory that is beyond the jurisdiction of the London Cycling Campaign!
