    Description

”Your gong baths and hugging people are the two things I’ve missed most during covid!"

A  fortnightly session of pure gongs with Alicia at Whippersnappers Studio in Brockwell Lido, Brixton.
*Please note: you will need to bring your own mats, blankets, cushions and water as these are not supplied at this venue *

A gong bath is based on ancient traditions re-invented for the 21st Century. Don Conreaux, described by many as the inventor of the gong bath, refers to gongs as 'power tools', and for good reason. Being bathed in sound is great for stress, physical pain, balancing brain hemispheres, tuning the nervous system, speeding healing, and even heightening consciousness. Your very cells will resonate! It's also a rapid and efficient method of entering a profoundly relaxed state.

During the session, an organic, non-rhythmic soundscape of frequencies gives the mind nothing to latch onto, causing the 'relaxation response' to be swiftly activated. The powerful vibrations of Planet gongs vibrate every cell of the body, and many people, after a gong and meditation session, report feeling as if they have just woken from a really good sleep.

Alicia uses Planet Gongs  (precisely tuned to invoke the frequencies of the planets of our solar system, according to the calculations of Hans Cousto, who wrote a book called The Cosmic Octave) alongside bronze gongs,Chinese Chau and Feng gongs, and a wide variety of other healing instruments. Each gong is hand-hammered, and produces a dramatic range of sounds, vibrations and frequencies.

So if you’re feeling the need for some ‘me-time’, book yourself a ticket and come and see why there’s so much noise about gong bathing - even in the mainstream media. Your gong bath host is Alicia Marianne Davies. https://www.hushhour.net/

IMPORTANT:Please read the following before you book:

Gong Baths and guided meditations are normally safe for all. However, Gong Bathing is not advised for those who are in the first or third trimester of pregnancy, have a pacemaker, or who suffer from Menieres syndrome, have a history of psychotic episodes, or who experience epileptic seizures in the state between sleeping and waking. This is because the effect of the sound vibrations and the guided meditation can act as a trigger. You are responsible for consulting your medical practitioner before attending if you have any concerns regarding your mental or physical health, and for disclosing any such conditions before the event begins. Hush Hour cannot be held responsible for any unexpected or unwanted effects that may arise as a result of taking part in a session of Guided Meditation and/or Gong Bath.
