Blue in Green #6

Apr 05 2019 19:30 - 22:30

Blue in Green is a monthly evening of live jazz where the audience is invited to make art in response to the performances. Our guest act this time is Remembering Emma, a special one-off project that continues a long tradition of combining jazz music with poetry.

Matthew Grenz and his friends present a selection of poems by Thomas Hardy written after the passing of his first wife Emma. The poems, read by Devamitra and Max Harrison, will be framed by a set of contemporary jazz performed by Matthew Grenz (sax), Jack Banjo Courtney (trumpet), Toby Comeau (keys), Ollie Copeland (bass) and Boz Martin-Jones (drums).

Support will be provided by a slimmed-down house band. Grab your tickets for £5 online, or gain entry with £8 on the door.
