    Description

Blow Up continues its Friday residency in Soho at the legendary St Moritz Club, and this week LE VOLUME COURBE vs. GRIMM GRIMM will be performing live and EUGENE McGUINNESS will be returning for a second show.

The basement club is one of the last 'original' venues in the West End, virtually unchanged since the 60s, and Blow Up kicked off it's new Friday night residency here in January.

Expect to hear classic tracks from both Blow Up's past and present: from Brit Pop era favourites (the scene which the club helped kick-start way back in 1993 in Camden Town) to the current new Pop & indie stylists putting the art back into pop colliding with 60's Soul, Beat, Garage, Funk, Ska, Swinging Soundtracks, Hammond Heavy Jazz, Easy Listening & Ye-Ye! Brit Pop, Glam & Post Punk / New Wave will all be present and correct.

** LE VOLUME COURBE VS. GRIMM GRIMM **

Le Volume Courbe VS Grimm Grimm is an otherworldly concoction of sounds filled with fragile vocals and haphazard guitars, flowing like an enchanting diary of dreams (Forced Exposure). At Blow Up , Le Volume Courbe VS Grimm Grimm will be playing each others minimal psychedelic space songs.

Le Volume Courbe (aka French-born, London-based singer/songwriter Charlotte Marionneau) have supported My Bloody Valentine at the legendary Roundhouse shows of 2008, Dinosaur Jr. and popped up subversively in some unlikely places. The "Freight Train" single emerged in 2007, and graced the soundtrack of Skins, and other tracks to feature in films include "I Killed My Best Friend" in the Lindy Heymann film "Kicks", and "I Love The Living You", which scored the final scenes of the Nick Moran film "The Kid". LVC also contributed a track to the Roky Erickson tribute album "The Psychedelic Sounds of the Sonic Cathedral".

Grimm Grimm is the space-folk solo project of Koichi Yamanoha, a London-based Tokyo native and former 1/3 of cult psychedelic punks Screaming Tea Party. Packed with hooks, the Grimm Grimm sound mixes the melancholic beauty and noise of Nico, the soundscape of Eno and the melodies of The Beatles with baroque flourishes and a passing nod to the otherworldly pop sensibility of Joe Meek Drowned in Sound

    ** EUGENE MCGUINNESS **

London-based singer-songwriter Eugene McGuinness has become a treasured part of the Domino story. With his own enigmatic collection of songs, album 'Invitation to the Voyage' acquired him a passionate French following with French TV appearances on Taratata (TV5 Monde) and Album De La Semaine (Canal+). His debut album saw him compared with Ray Davies, Damon Albarn and Paul Weller, and his fourth record Chroma (2014), produced with Dan Carey (Franz Ferdinand) is a feel-great-about yourself guitar album with timeless riffs, talk of one-night stands and falling in love:

Elegant and playful, cocksure but charming melting-pot British pop
    9/10 Loud And Quiet

Eugene is also known for performances with Miles Kane. McGuinness is a co-writer on some of Kane's recordings including 'First of My Kind' also written with Alex Turner.
