(Beth Vyse: Work In Progress show) Olive Hands in All Hands to the Pump...What depths will she sink too?
Beth Vyse's sassy, leopard print clad alter ego: Olive Hands is back still holding on to her crown as Britain's number 2 in the morning, daytime TV presenter but this time she’s resurrecting her career on a cruise ship for her small but loyal following in South Korea. After a terrible stint performing on land she takes to the seas, when she begins to sink. What depths will she go to in order to save her show?
Beth promises the show to be immersive, surreal, with plenty of heart and told with her inimitable acting style.
"Hands down the Funniest thing I've seen on the Fringe, Vyse's show is a wonderful melange of surreal and character comedy styles that basks in the campy fun of daytime telly. I can do nothing but recommend it" Broadway Baby *****
"She is a powerhouse of high energy and emotion from start to finish" Bunbury *****
"Vyse comes across as an incredibly strong woman, not least because she manages to display her vulnerabilities whilst still maintaining a huge stage presence" **** Three Weeks
“This show has cult written all over it" Chortle ****
Seymour Mace, Shit Title.
Here we go again. Not sure really. Maybe pretending I’m on a ship? Something out the window? And I’ve got a miniature Christmas village, can’t think what to do with that though. You’ve probably got more idea what I’ll be doing than me so if you think it’ll be brilliant then come along but if you think it’ll be shit then probably don’t bother. Thanks and that.
