Description
The world class combination of veteran English lutenist Ben Salfield and young Polish classical guitar superstar Aleksandra Sapok returns to Cornwall for two dates.
Salfield has performed for nearly 40 years and recently came out of retirement to begin touring internationally once again. Lauded for his ability to engage with audiences and for his dynamic and skillful interpretations, he has been referred to in international media as "one of the finest lutenists of his generation".
Sapok has already built a reputation as one of the most exciting classical guitarists of the new generation. Her exciting style and sheer musicality have already taken her across Europe as a soloist to critical acclaim, and composers from around the world have composed music for her.
The new BenOla Duo sees two leading concert artists bringing the best out of one another in a live setting. With repertoire ranging from renaissance lute classics to transcriptions of 20th century keyboard music, there is something for almost everyone at their concerts.
