Benhall based folk and roots duo, Honey & the Bear, are hosting their annual candlelit concert in this beautiful church in the middle of the Suffolk countryside. Expect flickering candles, smiling faces and lots of gorgeous music that will send shivers down your spine.
The multi instrumentalist pair, comprised of songwriters Jon Hart (guitar, bass, bazouki) and Lucy Hart (guitar, ukulele, bass, banjo, mandolin & percussion), will be performing tracks from their brand new album ‘Made in the Aker’ accompanied by fellow musicians Evan Carson and Toby Shaer (both of Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys). With a diverse range of sounds and textures, and rhythms that flow from the fast and furious to gentle ballads, their live performances are spirited and dynamic. Conjuring stories in song, they tell tales of Suffolk folklore, courage, passion and heartbreak.
Special guests for the evening are local songwriting duo Bayfield Booth.
Mat - Left half of Bayfield Booth. Storyteller, singer, survivor. 3-time Suffolk Connect Four champion. Heart on sleeve, over-thinker, allergic to jigsaws. Amongst the top-2 best singer-songwriters from Framlingham. Driving 19 miles an hour down country lanes.
David - Right half of Bayfield Booth. Crafter of songs, eternally distracted multi-instrumentalist. Dad, husband, average village cricketer, trainee yogi. Home Suffolk, roots Derbyshire Peaks, small islands obsessive. Third most famous musician from near Framlingham.
Together with their band they perform heartfelt songs about their personal struggles, inspiring people and living life to the full.
There will be an opportunity to get refreshments at the interval and homemade baked goodies will be handed out.
If you would like to drink alcohol, please feel free to bring your own.
