Ben & Dom

Described as “Just amazing” by BBC 6Music, Ben and Dom are bringing their intricate vocals to Shrewsbury this autumn as they embark on their 2nd tour of 2023.

Fresh from Cambridge Folk Festival and a 20-date album tour, Ben & Dom create an intimate atmosphere wherever they go, weaving their beautiful voices around songs old and new. They've opened for Tom Robinson, The Young 'Uns and collaborated with choirs & artists across the UK.

Based in South London, the gentle blend of their harmonies comes from a close friendship and shared love of singing together. Ben takes the high notes and Dom takes the low notes (most of the time). The duo lend their voices to songs old and new, performing original material alongside new interpretations of folk songs. Their lyrics touch on friendship, nature and what it means for two men to sing together in this modern day.

In 2023 they released their first full length album His Head Lies Heavy, following their EP Shoulder (2022). Both releases were received well by audiences and industry, with widespread coverage on blogs and radio. Their songs have been played on BBC 6Music and Radio 3.

Ben and Dom are experienced choir leaders and community musicians, and have been sharing their love of group singing for many years. The two met through the community choir scene, and are passionate advocates for singing and the positive effect it can have on our lives.
