We are pleased to announce our next event in the heart of Whittle Dene, when the bluebells and wild garlic blanket the forest floor in a beautiful display.
Under the Trees - Beltane Crown Making and Woodland Forage
Step into the magic of the turning season and join us beneath the canopy for a family-friendly Beltane celebration rooted in nature, creativity, and folklore.
As the land awakens and blossoms, we gather to honour this ancient festival of fire, fertility, and new beginnings with a gentle, hands-on woodland experience.
What to Expect
We begin with a guided woodland forage, learning how to safely and respectfully identify seasonal greenery, blossoms, and natural materials. This is a slow wander, an invitation to tune into the sights, scents, and energy of spring.
Using your gathered treasures, you’ll then be guided through a crown-making workshop, creating your own Beltane flower crown with natural materials. A beautiful piece to wear, take home, or place on your altar.
Along the way, we’ll weave in storytelling of the May Queen and the Forest Folk, bringing a touch of folklore and imagination for you.
We’ll come into a circle around the fire, for meditation, offering a simple space to pause, reflect, and honour the season together.
Who is this for?
This is a family-friendly event, open to all ages. Whether you’re coming with little ones, friends, or simply yourself, you are welcome.
