Bella and the Bear are a mesmerising duo formed in Ayr in 2015. Lauren Gilmour and Stuart Ramage combine their immense song writing abilities to form a traditional acoustic sound that sparkles with rhythmic, percussive guitar playing offset with melodic perfection and lyrical beauty.
Their live shows have garnered attention across the country culminating in the band recently winning CalMac Culture award for best new act. The band also won Best Newcomer in association with UWS Creative at the SAMAs last year. (2015)

Over the summer the band made their debut festival appearances at Heb Celt, The Wickerman Festival and Doune The Rabbit Hole. Their stage show is impeccable and focusses on blending two-part harmonies with an inherent flare for captivating storytelling and spoken word poetry.
