Description
Join Dionne Ible from Qemamu Mosaics and learn how to create your own mosaic pot or spoon stand.
This workshop is ideal for beginners who are interested in learning the basics of mosaic.
The class will cover how to cut vitreous and stained glass using wheeled nippers.
You will learn how to grout and clean your mosaic once your design is complete*.
It will cover various mosaic terminology which I will teach you so you can really impress your friends!
You will be encouraged to experiment with a range for colourful tiles to create your own pot or spoon stand.
By the end of the workshop, you will have learnt:
1. How to use wheeled nippers
2. How to use andamento and flow
3. How to grout your piece
A small range of tiles and grout will be available to buy for £5 for your own future use but all other materials will be provided.
*You will get to go home with an ungrouted mosaic stand as the tiles will need to be completed dry before grouting can be done.
