    Description

    Bassistry Album Launch Party

Bassistry launch their brilliant new album 'What The Hell Do You Call This?' at Hoxton on 10th March 2015.
Bassistry, described in the past by Jazzwise magazine as, 'a classy, cross-pollination of jazz, funk and soul', showcase their third album, 'What The Hell Do You Call This'? It has no genre constraints, combining Jamiroquai style funk grooves, Latin rhythms and electronica pulsating beats, merged with beautiful contemporary string soundscapes.
Plan B's Ivor Novello winner 'Cassell The Beatmaker' and Emmy Nominated Electronica prodigy, Robert Logan, co-produced the album. It features some of the crème de la crème of London's musicians such as Sonia Slany string arrangements, (Skyfall, Happy Go Lucky, Peter Gabriel, Mark Knopfler, Jools Holland), drummer Sam Agard Blue (Paloma Faith, Corinne Bailey Rae, Professor Green), Trumpet, Jay Phelps, as well as Latin drummer Philippe D' Amonville (Natasha Atlas). Imaani (Incognito) and guitarist Eric Appapoulay (Plan B) joins her on guitar.
Bassistry's dynamic live performance features two soulful vocalists, cool horns, electronics, and the tightest of rhythm sections. Expect danceable grooves, outstanding musicianship and great songs.
